PogoPlug – A Hard Drive on Steroids?
Last month I was in Portland attending the International Virtual Assistants Association Conference. We were sharing our ideas with one another. I asked about whether anyone had heard of PogoPlug. It is a piece of hardware that connects to your router. It has four USB ports to which you can connect hard drives. Imagine having 4 T hard drive space available for storing your files. These hard drives are accessible through the internet. After I described it to my colleague, she said, “Oh, you mean it’s like a hard drive on steroids?” I’ll let you decide if that’s what you want to call it, but that’s not a bad way to look at it.
PogoPlug allows you to turn your PC into a “Personal Cloud”. You can access your content from any computer or mobile device. Share files or media with anyone you designate. There are no monthly subscription fees. You are limited only by the size of the hard drive connected to the USB ports of the PogoPlug device.
Visit my.pogoplug.com and you can log in with the registered email address and password. Access PogoPlug also by installing the free software on your computer. It is compatible with both PC and Mac.
I’m excited about the possibilities. Using this device, I can access my files from anywhere, share files with clients, colleagues, family and friends, and all for a reasonable price.
