The owner, Michele Wong, was raised in the former Canal Zone in Panama and speaks Spanish as a second language.

After the Panama Canal treaty went into effect, she moved to Washington state and attended the University of Washington and graduated from the College of  Engineering with a B.S. in  Chemical Engineering.

She is a wife and mother of three children. During her free time enjoys quilting, reading non-fiction and collecting stamps.
